In this role, you will play a crucial part in optimizing our plant cultivation processes and crop steering.
Responsibilities:
Collect and record sensor data using Solus Software and Excel/Numbers.
Gather plant and sensor readings.
Calculate desired field capacity and make irrigation adjustments.
Assist in maintaining optimal moisture levels for plants.
Aid in cultivation when necessary.
Support in monitoring and adjusting irrigation based on results.
Verify the effectiveness of irrigation adjustments.
Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age.
Highschool Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experienced in agriculture, irrigation management, and related fields.
Experience with a Netafim Basic computer literacy, including email and basic knowledge of programs such as Excel/Numbers on Mac.
Ability to collect and record data efficiently and accurately within a given time frame.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in performing basic math.
Must be punctual and perform tasks in a timely manner.
Must be able to perform repetitive tasks at an efficient and precise level.
Effective communication skills with staff and management in all situations.
Personal vehicle and/or reliable transportation.
Prior experience in cannabis cultivation or related fields is a plus.
Pay & Schedule:
$25 per hour Day shift, night shift, morning shift, evening shift Possible overtime as needed Ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required 10-hour shift, 8-hour shift Ability to work varied hours, weekends, and holidays as needed TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work may require prolonged sitting, bending, stooping, and stretching.
Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate a computer, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.
Requires normal range of hearing.
Requires close vision with the ability to see color and adjust focus.
Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly using safe lifting techniques.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is high-energy, fast-paced, and, due to the nature of the current regulatory landscape, often highly stressful.
Work is performed in a busy cannabis nursery and cultivation facility.
The facility areas are very loud due to fans and filtration systems; work areas can fluctuate between cold and hot temperatures.
Cultivation technicians handle chemicals found in a crop production facility (e.
g.
, fertilizers).
